The Wedding Planner

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Everyone wants to look their best on that special day. The bride, groom, mothers’ of the bride and groom and the rest of the wedding party all prepare. Some may choose a visit to the plastic surgeon before the party starts. The operative word here is strategic planning so that you can look your best and be recovered from any procedures you may chose to have before the wedding day.

If you are contemplating a surgical procedure before the wedding, give yourself plenty of time. Body procedures such as breast augmentation or liposuction require at least a three month recovery before dress fittings should start. Facial procedures should be done at least three months before the wedding to make sure any bruising or swelling is completely gone.

Non Surgical procedures should be carefully planned as well. Facial fillers such as Restylane ,Perlane, Juvederm or Radiesse to fill in lines and add volume should be done at least 6 weeks before the big day . Dysport or Botox for frown lines should be done at least a month prior to the wedding day. Non invasive skin treatments such as cool touch laser, gentle waves light or microdermabrasion and ultrasonic facials can be performed within two weeks of the date.

At our office we carry Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, the skincare makeup, and our licensed estheticians and makeup artists are available to help you with your look before the wedding.

There are many ways to refresh your look prior to a big event such as a wedding. Plan to visit a board certified plastic surgeon. Explore your options well enough before the date so you can chose what is right for you and have time to execute your choices.
